About Camp

For nearly two decades, Camp TBC has been creating an unforgettable summer experience where boys can grow, compete, learn, and build lifelong friendships—all within a true Torah environment.

Camp TBC began in 2008 with just eight boys and a vision. Rabbi Hillel Zinkin saw young boys attending high-level basketball camps and wanted to provide that same quality of competition, skill development, and coaching within a strong Torah atmosphere. From that vision, Torah Basketball Camp was born—a two-week basketball program that combined serious sports with daily Torah learning, positive role models, and a strong emphasis on character.

Those first summers were simple. With just eight campers and two counselors, Rabbi Zinkin personally picked up the campers each morning, taught them Torah every day, and created competitive leagues and high-level instruction. From the very beginning, TBC established the high standards of sports, Torah, and personal growth that would become its hallmark.

From those eight campers, TBC grew quickly, eventually developing into a full summer camp offering multiple sports, competitive leagues, trips, swimming, and an exciting range of special activities. By 2025, Camp TBC was welcoming 105 campers each week.

Through all that growth, the mission has remained the same: to give boys an unforgettable summer filled with great sports, meaningful Torah learning, incredible friendships, and positive role models who inspire them to grow both on and off the court.

As Camp TBC looks toward its 20th summer in 2027, we are proud of how far we have come and excited for what lies ahead. What began with eight boys has grown into a summer tradition cherished by generations of campers and families.
